O novo WindLogger foi remodelado com grandes melhorias, graças à pequena e entusiasta comunidade ligada ao vento. Ouvimos o feedback desta comunidade e fizemos várias melhorias:

Instalação mais fácil de sempre, basta ligar o anemómetro Davis na ligação interna 6P4C. Também pode usar qualquer outro tipo de anemómetro. Pode liga-lo diretamente ao bloco de ligação de entrada do sensor interno.
Sistema de deteção automática de anemómetro. O novo WindLogger avisa caso haja um anemómetro ligado a funcionar antes deixar o local.
Opção para sonda de temperatura externa
Monitor de bateria integrado
Excelente vida útil de bateria de até 1 ano a 1 minuto do intervalo de registo

- Regista velocidades do vento de até 2 anemómetros simultaneamente - Velocidade média do vento, rajadas de velocidade do vento e desvio-padrão (turbulência) e direção do vento

The wind gauge is working very well. Our trainees built a 10-meter-high steel tower, and the measuring equipment has been hanging there and operating reliably for a year. The measurements provided us with the information we needed. We are now changing the battery for the first time after a year, which is also great.

Our project aims to forecast methane emissions from lakes, crucial greenhouse gas sources. Understanding lake hydrodynamics, including factors like wind speed and its direction is essential. High-frequency wind speed data is vital due to wind's significant impact on lake hydrodynamics. The chosen kit is supplying valuable data for our study. The lake is situated in an agricultural area and is free from major obstacles like trees that could interfere with wind speed measurements.

Atacama Desert

Studying the aerosol/particulate material deposition for Atacama Desert, we set a west-east transect of dust traps starting close to the Pacific Ocean until the Andes Cordillera. To study the atmospheric deposition and its temporal-spatial dynamics we purchased 3 wind trackers close to the dust traps so we analyse the wind speed and direction. Excellent customer support with our first international purchase out of Chile.

Q: Hi guys,Do you have a MAC OS setup program for the LEWL by any chance?

A: Unfortunately not, however the setup is done using a simple text file that can be edited manually. When the new file is found by the data logger, then it loads its configuration. This process is described in the wind logger manual.

Q: Is the sensor compatible with Anemometer Young?

A: Hello, it depends which model. You would need to use one with a pulse output.

Q: Hello,The wind direction angle recorded by these devices represents the direction the wind is blowing FROM? Does a 90º direction mean wind blows westward? Thank you, I purchased 4 anemometers of yours and they are just fine!

A: Yes, that is correct. The wind vane points where the wind is coming from, in the case of recording a 90º, the wind would be comfing from the East. 90º is East, and 270º would be West.

Q: I am interested in getting a new LeWL WindLogger, Could you tell me if the equipment has calibration report and what class it is?

A: Calibration certificates are done for the anemoeters (wind sensors). In this case, depending on the size of your project you may need a 1st Class MEASNET anemometer. Feel free to contact us with details, we will be happy to suggest the best option.
